AMSTERDAM, Aug 21–The final journey home for the Malaysian victims began at 9.40 pm Malaysian time (3.40pm local time) after their remains were loaded onto the Malaysia Airlines aircraft at Schiphol International Airport, here.

According to the NST Online, MAS and Malaysian embassy staff were inspecting the cargo to clear it for take-off.
The journey is expected to take around 11 hours and the aircraft should arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) between the hours of 9 am and 11 pm tomorrow.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the first batch consists of 12 passengers and 8 crew members of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH17.

Shortly after the aircraft lands, the official ceremony to honour the MH17 victims would be held in the vicinity of the Bunga Raya Complex, KLIA.
The nation will then observe a minute’s silence between 10.45 am and 11.15 am on Friday.
Among those who will be present at Friday’s ceremony are the Yang di Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Cabinet Ministers as well as dignitaries.
