Malaysia 3G & 4G LTE mobile operator, U Mobile is now offering free mobile Internet roaming in 7 countries across Asia. The company claims that it is the first telco in the market to do so.
Be it for business trips or adventurous escapades, U Mobile postpaid subscribers travelling to Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan can now enjoy free 50MB of high speed mobile internet everyday. Instead of searching for free WiFi hot spots for internet access, U Mobile customers can now attend to their business emails and communicate with love ones. Subsequent usage of data will be charged pay-as-you-use rates with a maximum of RM30 per day.
The promotion price valid till 30 November 2014.
U Mobile postpaid subscribers can instantly enjoy this service as soon as they arrive at the mentioned destinations, as no manual subscription is required. They will be prompted with an SMS upon arrival, and simply select manually the designated mobile operator for the country to enjoy both the free internet roaming promotion, as well as the unlimited internet roaming service at a special rate. Standard Pay-per-use charges apply should customers choose to roam with another mobile operator.
The free Internet roaming promotion starts today, and U Mobile customers will roam for free when they select the following roaming partner while travelling to the designated regions:
